Do you want to Flip skateboards?

Another notable US based international company Flip skateboards is owned by Jeremy Fox, Geoff Rowley and Ian Deacon. After Flip moved from the UK to the USA (California) in 1994 together with their team riders Andy Scott, Tom Penny and Rune Glifberg, the company grew on and became one of the world’s most famous and respected skateboard companies. Four members of the company’s team have received the famous Thrasher Skater of the Year Award. They are Bob Burnquist in 1997, the founder of the Flip G. Rowley in 2000, A. Saari in 2001, and M. Appleyard in 2003. Team riders also won the best street skater awards in the competitions organized by the Transworld skateboarding magazine.

So, it is no wonder that Flip skateboard deck was my first and one of my favorite ones since I stepped on the skateboard. The decks have perfect concave, really nice pop, and I think they are quite durable and strong. Although after 3 months of skating my skateboard lost its solid pop and got a bad razor tail, I still think the deck is a good one and much stronger than Enjoi skateboards, for example. So, my first Flip lasted me for about 6 months or so, but it was good and really comfortable. It had perfect size, not too big and not too small, with the nose and the tail of the equal length. It was just the right size for me, especially for my kick-flips and other skateboard tricks. One more thing I should mention here is that the quality of the graphics is bad. Actually, it came off by the end of the first day I bought the deck, but I did not really care about the graphics.

The Flip skateboards company has a professional team of riders and has been really popular for a while. Their decks have good shape, quality and style. The skateboards are kind of classic decks, a must-have for every true rider. I do recommend you at least to try the Flip, but make sure that you choose the newer models with better graphics.
